Wrong Number? By Craig Emerson Strain Several years ago a pastor left me with an open invitation to minister in his church. I called him shortly after that to arrange a date. I dialed his number and a woman answered. I asked if "Larry" was there. She said that she was his wife and he was not here right now. I asked if he would be home this evening. She said he was at his mothers home. I asked if his mother was ok? . . . . She said he lives there now. . . . . . I told her that I was sorry to hear that. I asked if they were having trouble? She said yes, and told me she didn't know what was going to happened. I told her that God knows the whole situation. He knows everyones needs and he will meet them as they put there trust in Him. There were tears on the other end of the line. . . . . I told here that I would pray with them and if she wanted, I would call "Larry" and do what I could to help. She told me that she would appreciate that and gave me his mother's phone number. I asked her who was taking care of the Church now. . . . . Quite on her end of the phone . . . Then she said, "We haven't been to Church in years." I asked, "I thought that Larry was the pastor." She said that he has never been a pastor. I knew Larry Perkins, he has been a good pastor for years. I said "Is Larry Perkins your husband?" She said no. "Our name is (withheld)." I had dialed the WRONG NUMBER! The Lord let me dial the "Larry" that needed the help the most. I somehow got to pray with someone that I didn't know, but God knew. God's Got your number. When you have a need, he's got your number! Sometimes you may think your in the wrong place. Maybe he's got you there to be a blessing to someone else.
