| When I See Jesus! written by Rev Robert Osborne
Image-is something made visible. Jesus can be made visible in you situation if you look for him and not look at the problem. When you see Jesus you got to have faith. Which is simply seeing the un-seen example. You go to a doctor whose name you can’t pronounce. He gives you a prescription you can’t read. You take it to a pharmacist you have never met. He gives you medication you do not understand and you take it without thinking twice about it. Faith involves believing that someone else will do something that is not yet visible or that has not yet happened. Thus, to have faith is to relinquish trust in oneself and to put that trust in another. Faith is the medium by which the power of God is made visible. Just as an artist may use paint as their medium, or a sculptor uses clay, God works through faith. In scripture we see that faith moves mountains, heals the sick, raises people from the dead, makes the lame walk, makes the blind see, feeds multitudes, and it is also by faith that we can have entrance into the kingdom of heaven. Now many times we get into some problems in life and we really can’t seem to find our way out. What does it take to get out of these things? I believe the bible says that without a vision people perish. What Kind of Vision? We need to see Jesus in the Situation. No matter what the question is he has the answer. No matter what the problem is he has the solution. He said he would supply our needs by his riches in glory. Your need may be great but his supply is much greater. When I see Jesus I see:
I see Moses rod, the rock and the water from the rock he was the manna from heaven and the Ark of the Covenant. David’s slingshot. The bright and morning star the everlasting father prince of peace the mighty God wonderful and Counselor. Immanuel God with us. The way, truth, and Life. The water and bread of life. The one that health thee. The one who gives strength to the weak, joy to the joyless, faith to the faithless. He is the savior and mediator between God and man. Etc. We may not see him before us but he is there and he is everlasting to everlasting. But most of all when I see Jesus I see the lonely stranger orphan and widow in need. I see those who are lost and don’t know Jesus. I see those in prison and those hungry. We need to see Jesus not only in what we want or need but in everyone else. Romans 10:9-10
See Jesus Everywhere.
