What is the Gift of Tongues? Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. When God first gave the evidence of the infilling of the Holy Ghost, they began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Your personal growth in Christ Jesus will be based on the time you spend in sincere pray with Him. Jude 1:20
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying
in the Holy Ghost, Why an unknown tongue? Jesus is not a Santa Clause where you say you want this and that and then some supprises! Rom 8:26
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what
we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession
for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 1
Cor 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not
unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit
