WE MUST GET READY!

March 12, 1947 - July 6,2002.

Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Matthew 24:44

We can get through life pretty much so by being a little late but I'm going to tell you that when it comes to God's promises and what God said was going to come upon this earth we cannot be late.

The word "ready" means to prepare yourself and to make yourself available. You have got to be prepared with the knowledge of the truth. You've got to make yourself available to God. The secret to a good marriage is to make yourselves available to each other. If you want God to be there whenever you need Him and whenever you call, you need to be there when He needs you.

You are going to have to be where the voice of the Lord can speak to you because God is going to come to a people who have made themselves ready. God only comes to a place where His children are He never visits a congregation of unbelievers. If a preacher is teaching a congregation for doctrine the commandments and teachings of men or customs and traditions that make the Word of God of no effect, then what are they believing? Can you call it faith? It is not faith. They believe and act on it. They even use Jesus' name but what they are declaring is commandments, teachings, traditions, doctrines, and customs of men.

We're getting ready to see the greatest separation that's ever been. We are headed into it. I already know what side of the fence I'm on. God has shown me that we've got to declare this right down the line. Line upon line and precept upon precept and rule upon rule. God has shown me that when this becomes a part of our
lives like it should and we preach it in detail the way it's supposed to be declared that the unbelievers will not stay where the believers are. The wind of God's anointing is going to blow the chaff away. When we find ourselves in a room with someone sick and all the unbelievers are outside, God is going to work miracles. The word "ready" also means to act or do whatever is necessary, willingly.

God not only wants you to be ready and available, but He wants you to do it willingly. He doesn't want you to do anything for Him if He has to force you. He wants willing vessels. The word "willing" means that you have got to be consenting and approving. It also
means that you've got to be in agreement with Him, willingly in agreement with Him as to what He wants done according to His Word. You must show God that not only are you available and have made yourself ready, but you are willing to do something for Him without complaint, murmuring, or grumbling. Show Him that you will do it gladly and with pleasure. You have got to prepare yourselves and multitudes are not prepared.

In Revelation chapter 7, it deals with the seal of God and 144,000 of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel. And down in that chapter there is a multitude that no man can number of every nation, kindred, tongue, and people. And the elder drew near to John and said, "What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?" John said, "Sir, thou knowest." He said, "These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb" (Revelation 7:13-14).

"They have", he didn't say He has. He supplies the blood. You have got to wash. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. They made themselves ready and that means that they obtained the intelligence and the knowledge of the Word, the cleansing power of that blood. The Lord showed
me where so many are missing it is because they are misapplying things pertaining to the blood. They are trying to attach the blood to a certain thing that's supposed to do this and you cannot designate something being the blood applied when the blood is not there. He has shown me that we've got to get back to the teachings of these apostles and learn these things. I've seen preachers standing in rivers and creeks waving "bye bye" to peoples' sins and the water did not wash their sins away. God is offended at that and He will not move where that is. It takes more than that. You cannot say the blood is applied when it has nothing to do with that certain action. It's the remission of sins by the shedding of the blood. If your sins are not gone by the time you go in the water, you will never come out of there cleansed. We have got to learn what baptism means. We have got to learn why it is Jesus name or nothing. We have got to learn why we have to obey what those apostles said. We have got to understand it and be filled with love over it. We have got to receive it and proclaim it.
