Seven Pillars.

by Bro Rick Keener

Prov 9:1 Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:

How you build your life is important to God. He has gifts of the Holy Ghost. He has purpose for you in your life. He allows you choices and liberties that form you into the person that you are. It is up to you to choose the best choices.

1 Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

What you choose to do with your body, your soul, your spirit, should be done with great importance. Who you are or who you appear to be, is who you will stand before God.

Rom 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

So what are these "Seven Pillars" that wisdom built her house with?

James 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

First, you have to choose building material. This is when you go through the pile of wood, choosing the best - straightest sticks of lumber that you can find. You cast aside the crooked, knotted boards.

James 3:14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
James 3:15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
James 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

Once you have chosen the best materials to work with, you can build the seven pillars. Here are the seven pillars.

James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is ,
1.
first pure,
2.
then peaceable,
3.
gentle,
4.
and easy to be entreated,
5.
full of mercy and good fruits,
6.
without partiality,
7.
and without hypocrisy.
James 3:18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

These are the pillars of your temple. This is the strength of your character. This is how you should build your temple. After you labor to build a beautiful home, you always desire to have guests to come and rest.

Isa 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
