Oreo to the rescue. By Bro Craig Emerson Strain We had a little puppy come into our lives. Her name is Oreo. My Brother-in-law, Tommy Ramsey, found the pup on the country road where we live. He took it in but thought, "That pup looks like it should be Bro Craig's." I had thought about getting a dog, and low and behold. Here appears Oreo in our life. So Tommy gives the dog to us and she has been ours ever since. I taught her many different things, sit, stay, get home, but the one thing I taught her is to sit by her dish while I pray over her food. As soon as I finish praying, she knows it is time to eat. Sometimes we can let the speed of life rule our lives. We can go into a restaurant, order our food, sit at a table, say a prayer, and then while we are eating, wonder if we even prayed or not. We can do it so involuntary that was it just a "prayer" or was it a true "Thank you Lord" from our heart? Well the other day, I had a call from a client that needed me to get to their office quickly. I hadn't fed Oreo yet. In fact I hadn't finished getting ready for the day. So I quickly got everything together. Called for Oreo, fixed her food dish, set it down, and started carrying my things to the car. I was almost ready to drive off when I noticed Oreo setting at the dish of food, looking at me. One ear up higher than the other with a look that said, "Well, aren't you going to pray?"
In Philippians it says, "Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Phil 3:15
