That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Rom 10:9-13
Jesus' death and his resurection on the cross was for your salvation. Jesus is your sacrifice for your sin. The blood that he shed for you was a sacrifice for your sin.
Heb
9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the
judgment:
Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and
unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin
unto salvation.
If you are sincere in your heart and you have asked Jesus to forgive you of your sin. You must continue in his Word.

10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest
by the blood of Jesus,
Heb 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for
us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Heb 10:21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
Heb 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance
of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our
bodies washed with pure water.
Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without
wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love
and to good works:
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as
the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more,
as ye see the day approaching.
You must follow the teachings of the Bible and the Apostiles and see what they ( as followers of Jesus Christ) did.
